Why not address the humans? 'Returning visitor?' Just an idea.

@kwadronaut Thanks again for the suggestion. Treating people like people is a great policy. :) We're going to be revisiting this entire page after the discussion about the "CHECK-IN" source string. Since "Return visit" doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem to translate clearly, but could just be friendlier, I'd like to defer this change until we rework all the text.

Hello @xattabych! For this string, the source text is actually just "Return visit". The "Additional Context" is just providing information about where / why it appears in the interface. Sorry for doing more translation than necessary!

The "Sendt inn før" nb_NO translation isn't all that good.

@kingu I agree it is not a direct translation of the term "Return visit", but then again we do not have the term in Norwegian. That could have been something like "tilbakekomst", but it feels strange. I will check with some colleagues and see if we come up with something better.

Yeah, it was pointed out to us in the source string feedback period that some of this section has proven hard to translate. We reverted "check in" to "log in" on the button because "check in" was more idiomatic than we'd realized. I'd very much like to hear your suggestions for making the source text clearer, because it could well be that what makes more sense to you will also translate better into other languages, and we can rework this again for the next release.

"Sendt inn før" seems pretty good to me, though. It conveys the choice well enough, corresponds to "Første innsendelse", and most importantly, it was ready in time for our release. So thanks @byeskille.

@rmol Along with just about everything, to me it seems just filling in the code right away is better, thoughts?

@kingu Was that source string comment misplaced? It doesn't seem to pertain to "Return visit".

@kingu @byeskille Would "Returning visitor?" as suggested by @kwadronaut be easier to translate?

Translation comment

@rmol It does not change it a lot. I talked to some colleagues, and if we were to stick more strictly to the "Returning visitor"/"Return visit" the closest we got was "Tilbakevendende bruker"/"Gjenvisitt" I could change it to that, but then again "Sendt inn før"/"Already submitted" is more straight to the user interaction when someone return to check for a response.

OK. Thanks. We'll keep it as is for now.

Someone suggested to translate this into Dutch as 'I have already submitted something,' which I think works even better as what was there before so I approved it.

"Return visit" has the meaning of visiting again, which would be more likely expressed by "visitar de nuevo" ("visit again") in Spanish than "vistar de vuelta". (While "volver" as a verb means to return, the meaning of "ir de vuelta" is closer to "going back" than it is to "returning". In turn, "visitar de vuelta" as an expression is not used commonly enough to be unambiguous).

The string is a header: "Nueva visita" is the noun that corresponds to the verbal group "vistar de nuevo".
